Under the Microscope

When you visit the LABORATORY – you can become a vet detective too! Observe and interact with vets as they investigate real cases under the microscope to help solve the mystery of a patient’s illness. 

There’s really COOL equipment too – including the COOLSCOPE Microscope, which allows you to share the exact slide the vet is examining through images beamed onto a plasma screen.  You and the vet can interact and talk through your findings.  

There’s also a lab for you to use – with real microscopes and cases to solve!

The LABORATORY is a crucial link to solving problems that have emerged from EMERGENCY or the OPERATING THEATRE. In the lab, tests such as pathology (blood) or histology (tissue) are performed, a diagnosis found and the correct treatment formulated for the patient.
